Future probes on Venus could take the shape of stingrays which fly around the planet's atmosphere every 4 or 5 days. Though Mars garners much attention, several probes are being planned or proposed to visit the planet which could have had more hospitable conditions several billion years ago. Advanced technologies such as better capable heat shields, and high temperature resistant components will enable extensive missions and more data collection. India is planning to send an orbiter in the next decade to map the entire surface and study its geologic activity.
