Regretfully I’ve been a bit of a hiatus from the blog. I have recently noticed an uptick in news
articles relating to space war, no doubt spurred on by President Trump’s
hinting at creating a new branch of the US military, the ’Space Force’ would be
dedicated to US Space defense. This ‘Space
Corps’ as it has been dubbed in Congress, would be made up of military space
elements that already exist, mainly from Air Force but also from other services
space-related resources or units. Legal
minds are already looking to develop policy norms for military operations in
space. By 2020, the Woomera Manual can be used
as guidelines by stakeholders in space conflict. Some experts are saying space war is inevitable. On a lighter note, it means more memes and speculation on how awful the Space Corps uniform will be.
